Fresh Data in Healthcare

Fresh Data is designed to showcase highly innovative companies in the healthcare and data space. Dr. Nicole Habel, VisibleEP’s Educational Product Manager was invited to join the kickoff event “Fresh Data in Healthcare” at hack/reduce in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, April 23rd 2014. In her presentation, she highlighted the role of multi-scale modeling when studying complex (non-linear dynamic) systems such as the beating heart. The development of such a model by Dr. Peter Spector and colleagues paved the way to innovative research and VisibleEP’s interactive educational software.

Attendees of the Fresh Data event learn about the challenges healthcare professionals in cardiac electrophysiology (the specialty of heart rhythm disturbances) are faced with when trying to interpret a limited set of data and how VisibleEP’s simulation software and study material can ease the learning process.

The audience’s feedback on using computational modeling to enhance education in healthcare was very enthusiastic:

“I shared your company story with my wife (Telemetry Nurse) and she could not wait to research your educational products.” (S.B.)
